WindowMizer replaces WindowShade
RGB World, Inc. has released a Mac desktop app named WindowMizer that replaces WindowShade functionality on Mac OS X. WindowMizer works on Intel™ Macs running Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6), Lion (10.7) and Mountain Lion (10.8).
Many Mac users have been waiting for a replacement to the WindowShade X haxie™ from Unsanity LLC., ever since it stopped working a few years ago. WindowMizer restores windowshade functionality, and it does so as an Application, which is a more secure and stable way of providing window shading.
When you double-click the titlebar of a window, WindowMizer minimizes the window to the Dock and leaves a placeholder titlebar on the screen. When you want to get back to what you were doing, simply double-click the placeholder titlebar and the window will restore from the Dock.
WindowMizer was originally accepted into the Mac App Store in June 2012, but was removed in March 2013, due to it's inability to sandboxed. Unsandboxed apps are not allowed to submit updates that include new features, so RGB World removed it from the App Store, and now offers WindowMizer directly from their website www.rgbworld.com
