Re: Update has killed WindowMizer

Yes. This is a continuation of the Accessibility bug. I have updated the message to include instructions that are required if you upgraded to Sierra before upgrading to WindowMizer 4.4.x

See the note specifically for Sierra Users.

Re: WindowMizer 4.4 Accessibility Bug

If you have upgrade to OS 10.12 Sierra before updating WindowMizer to version 4.4.x, then the AccessibilityPatch.app will return a message stating that you "cannot write to a read-only database". This error is due to the new SIP (System Integrity Protection) enhancements on Sierra. To work around th...

Re: Problems with multiple displays

Hey guys. Thanks for your patience. I plan to release WindowMizer 4.4.2 tonight by Friday. It should now work on multiple-displays regardless of the arrangement of those displays. There is a new WindowMizer preference panel for configuring Displays. The settings may need to be manually adjusted for ...

Re: Keyboard shortcut

I will have to look into the issue. There is a shortcut in WindowMizer preferences for "Window > Close Window". This should be set to command+W, and there is also a setting on the Advanced preference panel for "Allow preprocessing of universal close window shortcut". You can uncheck that box to see ...

Re: WindowMizer 4.4 Accessibility Bug

I suggest updating to WindowMizer 4.4.1 before downgrading to 4.3.1. An alternative to the issue with 3 or more displays would be to set the window handling preference setting to "Minimize to Dock" and allow animations to show. IMO this mode is just as fast as "Move Off-screen" and will work regardl...

Re: "Move Offscreen" vs. "Minimize to Dock"

@rtouris Whether you are using "Minimize to Dock" or "Move Off-screen", windows do not need to clutter the dock. All you have to do is go to System Preferences > Dock, and check the box for "Minimize windows into application icon". Also, my idea to completely remove the "Move Off-Screen" option is s...

Re: Problem with "foreign app shortcuts" in 4.4

@ Fullscore The issues is resolved in 4.4.1 The reason for the alert was that I was attempting to prevent the use of another applications shortcuts from a WindowMizer window. I decided to remove the tap and hope that users will simply understand not to use another applications keyboard shortcuts whe...

Re: How minimize to dock

Hi Win,
In 4.4.1, I added a shortcut to allow minimizing a window to the Dock without leaving a place-holder window behind. Hopefully this is what you were suggesting.

Thanks,
Chris
