Little line à bottom right corner

Post by Ivan »

Hi,

I recently noticed that when I minimize a window (the first minimized windows, currently), a little white vertical line appears at the bottom right corner of my screen (1920x1200). I run El Capitan 10.11.6.

Any idea about it ?
Thanks

Hi Ivan,
Yes. I am aware of the sliver of window that appears in the corner of the display. This is expected.

WindowMizer uses a placeholder-window and moves the "real" window either a) Off-screen or b) Minimize to dock. There is a preference setting on WindowMizer preferences > Advanced panel that allows you to choose between the 2 modes.

The "Move-Offscreen" method is by far the fastest. The caveat of using the faster method is that WM is simply moving the window to the corner of the screen - which leaves a little slice of the window showing. If I could move the window entirely off-screen I would, but it is not allowed (I've tried).

The alternative is to set the "Destination of original window" to "Minimize to Dock". This method is slower, however it is the "correct" place to put the original window.

I have provided the choice so that users can decide what works best for them. As much as I hate "Move Off-screen", it is the method I use. If Apple ever speeds-up "Minimize to Dock" (by eliminating the window animation), then we could all switch the setting to "Minimize to Dock" - which is the more proper technique. After all, a window that is not on-screen belongs in the Dock :-)

So, those are our only choices.

Eze 44:2 This is what I clicked to copy, but the verse would not show in the bottom right corner. I have had no problem with any other verse yet. Any idea why this one?

Still looking forward to having the Deutero-Canonicals really included. Have to keep e-Sword running with this program, to get the complete bible. Said before: yours is so user friendly and so easy to locate verses, but I do use all the books and really need them in there for search and notes.

Keep up the great work and thank you very much.
